People who have known me since childhood will tell you I was always drawing.

I studied product design because I wanted to draw every day, and spent many years designing different things, like jewelry, auto-parts and furniture. I am now a full time illustrator, and I still design many various things, which I draw in the pages of my books.

I am passionate about representation. I strive to paint people of different backgrounds and abilities in my illustrations. I also love to hide details so the readers can discover a new one every time they read the books.

I live in the traditional, ancestral and unceded land of the Musqueam and Squamish nations, also called Richmond, BC, Canada with my husband, two kids and a dog.
